Prevention of type 2 diabetes
There are a few studies which relate the connection between some aspects of type 2 diabetes with ingestion of certain food or with some drugs. However the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus can be reduced by increasing physical activity and making changes in the diet. But the A D A (American Diabetes Association) have suggested that maintaining a healthy weight, doing exercise for atleast two and a half hours a week, having a modest fat intake, eating sufficient fiber can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus. And again breast feeding can be associated with the prevention of type 2 diabetes in mothers.
